Carol Lewis has more than 20 years of experience as a search consultant, focusing on C-level and board assignments both locally and internationally for major listed organisations and large private corporations. She specialises in Banking and Financial Services and related disciplines. Over the course of her career, she has developed a reputation as one of the top female talent scouts for both boards and executive and functional leadership roles.
Carol has worked in international executive search since 1999 and has successfully completed many senior-level assignments in both the public and private sectors for a wide range of clients throughout Australia, Asia Pacific and overseas. She has placed some of Australia's leading talented women into senior management roles, including Chief Financial Officers, Finance Directors and Chief Risk Officers. Carol also serves on the Board of Women in Banking and Finance (WiBF) and is passionate about working with clients who are focused on addressing gender equality in senior leadership and management within their organisations.
Prior to joining Allegis Partners, Carol was a Partner at Boomerang Partners, a boutique search firm focused on retained assignments across a broad range of industries and geographies. In this role, she ran the CFO and Risk practice and was part of the broader Banking and Finance team. For the six years prior, Carol ran her own boutique search consultancy, serving clients across the Asia Pacific region in both Banking and Financial Services and the Resources sector.
Carol began her career in executive search at Maxim Executive Search, a predominantly Banking and Finance specialist firm covering Institutional Banking and Finance markets, Asset and Wealth Management Practices and Professional Services. She was successful in delivering searches across the Australasian markets and building strong business relationships. Prior to her career in search, she held roles in business development and line management in professional services.
Carol completed her business studies at the University of Melbourne.
