A Mission-Fit Executive with Strong People Leadership

Discord, a voice, video and text chat app designed specifically for gamers, is a rapidly growing unicorn startup hyper focused on being a place where people who have a love of games love to work. Discord wanted more than just a great Head of People—they needed to find a great Head of People who also knew Discord and loved to game. Despite not having a People Operations function, Discord wanted someone who could take them to the next level and scale the people initiatives they had started. The leadership team had met some great candidates through their own network, but they were looking to Allegis Partners’ expertise to expand that pool. We worked closely with the CEO and the leadership team to bring forward gaming enthusiasts with a deep understanding for people operations. The selected candidate fit their profile and will work closely with the leadership team to take Discord to the next level.
