Describe one of your successes at Allegis Partners.
The first search I was directly involved in resulted in the placement of three diverse directors, including two who had not previously served on a public board of directors. This was an extraordinary validation of our “diversity first” approach.
Who has had the biggest influence on your career and why?
My husband. His support and unwavering confidence have given me the courage to make unconventional career choices and the ability to grab opportunities when they were presented to me. And he’s the world’s best sounding board.
What is the best career advice you have been given?
Never give up: it’s always darkest before the dawn.
Knowing what you know now, what career advice would you give your younger self?
Ask for more responsibility than you feel completely ready for. You’ll be fine.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A Broadway star.
What is on your bucket list?
To stay healthy so that I can continue to enjoy travel, sport, and hopefully… one day… grandchildren!
