Our focus on the HR vertical. It was more than one person focused on HR at a search firm, it was a whole team of experienced and strategic operational leaders doing senior-level HR search work across a variety of industries.

I am fortunate and lucky.
-
Describe one of your successes at Allegis Partners.
Hiring the Chief People Officer at Zume. It was a challenging search with an exacting CEO, but we landed the best candidate for the role, and we were all really happy with how it turned out.
-
Who has had the biggest influence on your career and why?
Marc Lore, CEO of Walmart eCommerce, and Vinit Bharara, Founder & CEO of Some Spider Studios. They were my direct managers at Quidsi in NY/NJ. Their maniacal focus on customer service, people, and recruiting reinforced that businesses are really about people, whether those people are your employees, your customers, your investors, or your candidates. They made everyone a high priority, and the formula worked.
-

Less is almost always more.

A professional baseball player.
-
What is on your bucket list?
Bringing my family to the Okavango Delta, roaming the markets in Istanbul, skydiving, and making it to all of our national parks.
